Our Activities

We warmly welcome all English-speaking people, from all Christian denominations, to our services and activities.

Winter services and activities

A very warm welcome awaits you at our weekly 6pm Sunday evening services throughout the winter season – held in The Little Church in Chemin du Temple (see the map on the Locations page).

Our first service will be at 6pm on Sunday 1st December and the last will be on 27th April.

On the theme of ‘Encountering Jesus’, week by week this season we will be exploring how the lives of many New Testament individuals were changed when they personally encountered Jesus.

Additional services will be held over Christmas:

– 6 pm Sunday 22 December: Carol service in the large white Catholic Church in Routes des Creux – half way between Place Centrale and Savoleyres (N.B there will be no service in the Little Church that evening)

– 11.30pm Christmas Eve: Midnight Communion (Little Church)

– 6pm Christmas Day: Family Service (Little Church)

Monday – Bible study

On Monday evenings there will be meetings from 7-9pm, starting with a light meal and followed by a short bible study. Details will be announced at our Sunday evening services, or please email dhbarbey22@gmail.com for details.

Tuesday – Après Ski

At 5pm every Tuesday from 3 December onwards we will be holding an informal social meeting at Jacky 4, our chaplains’ apartment (See Locations). Everyone is welcome, to get away from the hustle and bustle of the ski slopes and busy resort for a short while, and to make new friends.

Friday – Thought for the Week

From 9-10am every Friday, from 6 December onwards, we will be holding an informal meeting at the café Offshore, just below Medran, led by the ESC chaplain. Everyone is very welcome to join us for a relaxed, undemanding chat on a ‘Thought for the Week’ before a busy day’s skiing.

Bible Verse of the Day

Godly sorrow brings repentance that leads to salvation and leaves no regret, but worldly sorrow brings death.
